Hakone is the most popular resort area of Japan as it is close to famous Mt. Fuji and not too far from Tokyo. Though Mt. Fuji is not a active volcano, there are areas with a lot of steams coming out as shown in this picture (it is not clouds but steams) and famous Atami hot spring at the Pacific coast is also close from Hakone.
