Q2 KMI/AMI Alumni Golf
W.
K. Chang hit 77 !!
The
2nd. Qtr. 2010 KMI/AMI Alumni Golf was held on 7/24 Saturday afternoon at the
Pacific Grove Golf Links in Monterey peninsula, about one and half hour
drive to south from San Jose, not too far from famous Pebble Beach Golf
Links. It was foggy whole day without sun and little chilly with 65F max.
temp.. W.
K. Chang was the hero of the day hitting 77, 7 over par, not only his lowest
score in his life but also the lowest score of KMI/AMI Alumni Tournament
history. (The lowest up to now was 82 hit by K. M. Shim in the last March.) The
next 3rd. QTR tournament will be held on 9/18.

At the 1st. hole tee ground (Left to
right) :
W. K. Chang, T. H.
Lee. K. R. Choi, K. M. Shim, Mrs. Shim, Jane Cho, D. I. Cho.
It
was generally flat course and hole #1 and hole #2 were both PAR-3 holes. which
is very unusual layout. Front nine was usual layout with many trees but back
nine was along the Pacific Ocean. Holes were generally short with many around
300 yards holes but 2 Par-3 holes were long : 193 yards and 213 yards from
white tees (187 and 207 yards from red tees for ladies.)

At 14th. hole tee ground of back nine.
Pacific Ocean was not clearly visible because of high fog whole day.

We started the play at 11:30 AM and finished
by 4:00 PM. Morning drive to Monterey was not bad though the traffic at
Highway 101 was relatively heavy due to annual Garlic Festival in Gilroy.
However, traffic at Gilroy was very heavy at Gilroy area and it took almost
2 hours to get back to San Jose, about 30 min. longer than usual. Well, so
far, we arrived at Nakgoong, the Chinese restaurant in Cupertino, just right
time for dinner at 6:00 PM.

Today's award winners.

Today's hero was W. K. Chang hitting 77, single digit 7 over par. No one
could beat him for both Champion Award and Medalist Award.
Congratulations
W. K. !!!
Keep hitting
single digit every time in the future too !!
Sorry ! You are too old to join PGA now.

How about this score card of our
hero and the youngest brother who played with K. R. Choi and T. H. Lee!!
They played at blue tees.
This "Certificate of Single Digit Record Play (?)" is prepared by
D. I. Cho to congratulate Mr. Chang's great achievement.
